About MECES-UG

Medical Care and Education Support – Uganda (MECES-UG) is a non-profit making organization committed to improving the lives of vulnerable populations and rural communities in Uganda through education support, health care, and economic empowerment initiatives. Founded on the belief that every person has a fundamental right to education and access to basic health services, MECES-UG continues to transform communities by creating opportunities for disadvantaged individuals to achieve a better future.


Since its establishment, MECES-UG has dedicated its efforts to supporting orphans, vulnerable children, underprivileged families, and people living in resource-limited settings. Through a variety of impactful programs and community-driven initiatives, the organization strives to restore hope, dignity, and sustainable livelihoods among Ugandans

History and Background

MECES-UG began its operations in 2010 with the goal of addressing the growing educational and healthcare challenges affecting vulnerable communities across Uganda. The organization was formally registered in 2015 and has since grown into a trusted community-based organization recognized for its dedication to social transformation and humanitarian service.


Over the years, MECES-UG has experienced tremendous growth, particularly in the area of educational sponsorship and learner support. The organization’s success reflects its unwavering commitment to ensuring that children and youth from disadvantaged backgrounds gain access to quality education and essential support services.

Education Sponsorship Programme

Education is the heart of MECES-UG. We provide sponsorship opportunities, tuition assistance, mentorship, and academic support to learners at all educational levels.

We currently support thousands of learners across Uganda through our education-focused community initiatives.

Healthcare Outreach

MECES-UG supports vulnerable communities through healthcare outreach programs, health awareness campaigns, and medical assistance initiatives aimed at improving community well-being.

We work with communities to improve access to healthcare services, health education, and support for underserved populations in rural and resource-limited settings.

We empower vulnerable families and communities through skills development, community empowerment initiatives, and livelihood support programs that promote self-reliance and long-term sustainability.

Organization Founded

MECES-UG began its journey in 2010 with a mission to support vulnerable children and underserved communities through education and healthcare initiatives. The organization started as a small community-driven effort focused on helping children access education opportunities regardless of their background.

Official Registration

In 2015, MECES-UG was formally registered as a nonprofit organization in Uganda. During this phase, the organization expanded its operations and increased the number of supported learners across nursery, primary, secondary, and higher institutions.

Personal Beach For Summer

MECES-UG experienced significant growth through increased community support, partnerships, and outreach initiatives. The organization expanded its education support programs and reached more vulnerable families across Uganda.

Current Impact

Today, MECES-UG continues to transform lives through education-centered community development. The organization now supports thousands of learners and remains committed to building brighter futures for vulnerable communities across Uganda.

Medical Care and Education Support – Uganda (MECES-UG) is a non-profit organization dedicated to improving lives through education support, healthcare assistance, and community empowerment programs for vulnerable populations across Uganda.

Yes. MECES-UG began operations in 2010 and was formally registered in Uganda in 2015. We operate with full transparency and accountability to our beneficiaries, donors, and government partners. We are happy to share our registration documents on request.

Sponsorship costs vary depending on the level of education  primary, secondary, or higher education. Please contact our office for a detailed breakdown and to discuss a sponsorship package that works for your budget. 

Our headquarters is in Kitala, Entebbe, along the Kampala–Entebbe highway (next to Shell Petrol Station Kitala). However, our programmes reach communities across Uganda.

We are committed to integrity, accountability, and responsible management of resources. Our programs are implemented with community involvement and regular monitoring to ensure maximum impact.
